Hazard Warning Triangles compulsory from 1 July 2008

On 13 February 2008, the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Road Safety (CISR) decided to make it compulsory for all vehicles to carry a safety jacket or warning triangle from 1 July 2008 in line with numerous other European countries which have already implemented this measure.

Aviva said it had detected around 820 staged accidents in 2013 leading to some 2,200 fraudulent personal injury claims.
Aviva insures 10% of British vehicles so in excess of 8200 staged accidents and 22,000 personal injury claims may have occurred in the UK last year!!!
In a "Crash for Cash" incident, a car may brake suddenly in front of the victim, leaving them with little chance of avoiding them.
Gangs tend to target drivers who appear most likely to be insured, such as Company Cars...
